Cirque Analytics was retained by a major semiconductor firm to prepare a pay equity evaluation and rebuttal damages analysis in connection with gender discrimination and retaliation claims.
Cirque Analytics Senior Vice President Dr. Chen Song was retained as a testifying expert to offer expert opinions regarding any evidence of gender pay disparity for a group of professionals in a specific department at Xilinx. Dr. Song and her team built an analytical database and performed regression analyses to study total compensation. Important factors such as education, experience, and market premiums from STEM fields were controlled for in these models.
For her role as the rebuttal damages expert, Dr. Song collaborated with a vocational expert and performed lost earnings calculations based on Plaintiff’s job search evidence. Her calculations accounted for projections of values from restricted stock units. Additionally, Dr. Song studied issues relevant to executive compensation, such as executive job tenure, and the impact of change of control agreement on total compensation.
