Experience
Dr. Rafert is an expert in academic proceedings involving tenure and/or promotion, faculty and student grievances, strategic policy development to enhance academic quality, and data analysis of ultra large databases.
Dr. Rafert has held tenured appointments at three different research-intensive institutions. Experiences include both up through the ranks (professor, chairman, graduate school dean, provost) understanding of complex university policies, procedures, and imperatives, as well as recognition as both the teacher and researcher of the year. Past experiences also include appointment by three different governors in three different states to various economic development roles and boards, service on the US Army Science Advisory Board, and Secretary of the Aerospace States Association. His expertise includes promotion and tenure policy, procedures, and disputes, and vulnerability analyses of core academic components including preventative and responsive countermeasures.
