Experience
Dr. Laaks is an economist with over a decade of experience conducting economic and statistical analysis for the antitrust, labor and employment, and other litigation and consulting matters. On the antitrust side, she mainly focuses on the price-fixing matters, manages complex class certification cases, and estimates damages. As a labor economist, she performs analyses in the litigation matters including allegations of discrimination in compensation, hiring, promotion, and termination, as well as wage and hour claims. She also assists the clients with pro-active self-monitoring studies and compliance reporting obligations. Additionally, her projects include other business and commercial disputes, and she has estimated economic damages in personal injury cases and those involving wrongful termination. Dr. Laaks works closely with experts and clients to identify the data required to analyze various claims and practices at issue, develop complex analytical databases and design relevant statistical models.
Before joining Cirque Analytics, Dr. Laaks worked at Nathan Associates and ERS Group.
